Most of these things are written in the third person, aren’t they? Hang on there ’til I switch my narrative voice…
Aisling Keenan is a journalist from Dublin, Ireland, who finds it exceedingly difficult to write about herself in the third person. But she’ll give it a go for the purposes of this increasingly awkward ‘About’ page.
Currently Deputy Editor with XPOSÉ Magazine and formerly Beauty Editor with U magazine, Aisling writes beauty, sex and relationships, health, travel, some news, features and more. She has interviewed such *cough* megastars as Rita Ora, Chris O’Dowd, Georgia Jagger, Mollie King, Una Healy, Alesha Dixon and Kate Moss – who actually is a megastar.
When she’s not awkwardly regaling blog readers with her employment history, she partakes in the odd bit of freelance radio production, is a regular guest contributor to both 98fm and Spin1038, and has also featured on 2fm, Xposé (on de telly), East Coast FM and has been known to turn up to the very occasional media event – once the canapés are of a high standard.
She was nominated for New Beauty Journalist of the Year at the Johnson & Johnson Beauty Journalism Awards in 2012 but lost out to some yoke from ELLE magazine… She’d rather not dwell on it.
Aisling expresses her opinions for free, but will happily express yours, articulately and with fervour via the written word, the spoken word or interpretive dance, should you require her to do so. She accepts cash and pretty much any other form of payment you’re willing to give her.
Aisling would like to take this opportunity to thank Beyoncé because, well, why wouldn’t you thank Beyoncé whenever the chance presents itself?
